Do you work with contractors?
I’II work with the contractors hired by the client. I love working with other design professionals to create your custom space. JSI does not provide contractor services; so independent architects and contractors hired by the client are an integral part of the process.
Let’s talk about Budget.
Talking about money can be uncomfortable, but having a budget is very important for the project running smoothly and for your expectations to be met. I work with many different budgets, whether you are looking for a completely custom masterpiece or more along the lines of Pottery Barn or a mix of the two. I will work with you to establish a reasonable budget at the beginning of your project.
What’s the difference between shipping & delivery costs?
In order to receive the best pricing possible for you, JSI often orders products directly from the manufacturer. These vendors often will only deliver to a receiving center with a loading dock. When this is the case, the items purchased by JSI go into a licensed, bonded, insured and climate controlled warehouse awaiting installation. The shipping cost is the cost from the vendor to the warehouse. Delivery fees are the costs associated with receiving and delivery from the warehouse to the client’s home. If an item can be shipped directly to you, these arrangements may also be made. Clients are responsible for all shipping, storage & delivery fees.
Can I change my mind after an order is placed?
Most often orders cannot be cancelled or refunded. In the event that a full refund can be attained you may cancel the order and receive a refund for the cost of the item minus the purchasing fee and any other applicable fees. You will be charged hourly for the time spent on cancelled orders. Custom orders are non-refundable.
What if something arrives damaged?
Please remember nothing is perfect; human hands make things. It is my job to define the industry tolerance level based on experience. However, merchandise may be damaged in shipment. Resolution may be in the form of discounts, reshipping of the item, or local repair. The factory usually makes this decision.
What is Murphy’s Law of Design?
If something can go wrong, it will. Patience, communication and a sense of humor whenever possible usually gets things back on track.
